This sensor uses an infrared emitted diode combined with an infrared phototransistor to detect the reflected infrared signal. Ideal for sensing black-to-white transitions or can be used to detect nearby objects (.5-1cm).
This is a simple, subminiature size, axial lead mounted rectifier diode. Often used for reverse voltage protection, the 1N4001 is a staple for many power, DC to DC step up, and breadboard projects. The 1N4001 is rated for up to 1A/50V.
A simple flex sensor 4.5" in length. As the sensor is flexed, the resistance across the sensor increases. Patented technology by Spectra Symbol - they claim these sensors were used in the original Nintendo Power Glove. I love the Nintendo Power Glove. It's so bad!
This is a breakout board for the fully integrated Hall Effect based linear ACS712 current sensor. The sensor gives precise current measurement for both AC and DC signals. Thick copper conductor and signal traces allows for survival of the device up to 5 times overcurrent conditions.
This is a very small light sensor. A photocell changes (also called a photodetector, photo resistor, CdS or photoconductive cell) resistance depending on the amount of light it is exposed to. These little sensors make great ambient light triggers (when light in the room turns on, do something).
This is a standard 12mm square momentary button. What we really like is the large button head and good tactile feel (it 'clicks' really well). This button is great for user input on a PCB or a good, big reset button on a breadboard. Breadboard friendly!
The XL series of MaxSonars are a super high-performance version of the easy-to-use sonar range finder from Maxbotix. The XL series of this sensor features higher resolution, longer range, higher power output and better calibration when compared to the LV version.
This is a basic RFID tag that functions within the MIFARE Classic® 1K guidelines. You can use these for all sorts of identification and sensing applications. The tag also has 1K of data storage which can be read and written from a compatible device. Check the related products below.
USB 2.0 type A to micro USB 5-pin. This is a new, smaller connector for USB devices. Micro USB connectors are about half the height of mini USB. Micro USB is found on newer hand held devices like cell phones and portable media devices. Works great with the Google Nexus One. Cable color and shape may vary slightly from image as our stock rotates.
