  13. Arduino Pro 328 - 3.3V/8MHz Sale
    Exc. VAT: £9.36 Inc. VAT: £11.23 £15.10

It's blue! It's skinny! It's the Arduino Pro! SparkFun's minimal design approach to Arduino. This is a 3.3V Arduino running the 8MHz bootloader. Because the system voltage for this board is lower than other Arduino development boards, it may not be compatible with many Arduino shields which were designed to run at 5V. The Arduino Pro 3.3V still works great with our prototyping shield so you can create your own 3.3V shields. The lower system voltage also has its advantages, like ease of use with many common 3.3V sensors.
  14. Temperature Sensor - TMP36 Sale
    Exc. VAT: £0.87 Inc. VAT: £1.04 £1.40

This is the same temperature sensor that is included in our SparkFun Inventor's Kit. The TMP36 is a low voltage, precision centigrade temperature sensor. It provides a voltage output that is linearly proportional to the Celsius temperature. It also doesn't require any external calibration to provide typical accuracies of ±1°C at +25°C and ±2°C over the −40°C to +125°C temperature range. We like it because it's so easy to use: Just give the device a ground and 2.7 to 5.5 VDC and read the voltage on the Vout pin. The output voltage can be converted to temperature easily using the scale factor of 10 mV/°C.
  15. LilyPad Vibe Board Sale

    Exc. VAT: £6.10 Inc. VAT: £7.32 £9.80

The MPR121 capacitive keypad uses the MPR121 and 12 touch sensitive pads to give you a simple ‘keypad’ with an I2C output. These keypads function by measuring the capacitance of twelve electrode points. When an object comes close to the electrode connector, the measured capacitance changes. This signals the MPR121 that something has touched a ‘button’.
  22. SparkFun Current Sensor Breakout Sale
    Exc. VAT: £6.10 Inc. VAT: £7.32 £9.80

The INA169 is a “high-side current monitor,” which means that you place a resistor (a “shunt resistor”) on the positive power rail and the INA169 measures the voltage drop across that resistor. The INA169 outputs a small current based on the measured voltage drop. If you place a resistor from the output of the INA169 to ground, you can measure the voltage at the output.

  34. SparkFun ToF Range Finder Sensor - VL6180 Sale
    Exc. VAT: £18.07 Inc. VAT: £21.68 £27.70

This is the SparkFun "Time-of-Flight" Range Finder, a sensor board for the VL6180 distance sensor. Unlike most distance sensors that rely on reflected light intensity or reflected angles to determine range, the VL6180 uses a precise clock to measure the time it takes light to bounce back from a surface. This affords the ToF Range Finder and VL6180 a great benefit over other methods because it can be much more accurate and more immune to noise. Does this technology sound familiar? Well it should, it's the same means cellphones use to detect when the caller is holding their phone to their ear.
