The SparkFun OpenPIR is a highly customizable Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor based around the NCS36000 PIR controller. Passive infrared (PIR) sensors are able to detect motion in a small/local area –-- they’re the sensor of choice in security systems, home automation and proximity-sensing applications. The OpenPIR allows you to set the sensitivity, trigger time and pulse mode of the motion sensor so you can tailor-fit it to your application!

The Pixy2 CMUcam5 is smaller, faster and more capable than the original Pixy. Like its predecessor, the Pixy2 can learn to detect objects that you teach it, just by pressing a button. Additionally, the Pixy2 has new algorithms that detect and track lines for use with line-following robots. With these new algorithms, you can detect intersections and “road signs” as well. The road signs can tell your robot what to do, such as turn left, turn right, slow down, etc. The best part is that the Pixy2 does all of this at 60 frames-per-second, so your robot can be fast, too!

This SparkFun Distance Sensor Breakout utilizes the VL53L1X next generation ToF (Time of Flight) sensor module to give you the highly accurate measurements at long ranges for its size. The VL53L1X uses a VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) to emit an Infrared laser to time the reflection to the target. That means that you will be able to measure the distance to an object from 40mm to 4m away with millimeter resolution! To make it even easier to get your readings, all communication is enacted exclusively via I2C, utilizing our handy Qwiic system so no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1”-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard.

The RPLIDAR A2 is a sleek, indoor, 360 degree 2D LIDAR. Each RPLIDAR A2 can take up to 8000 samples of laser ranging per second thanks to its high rotation speed. The on-board system can perform 2D 360° scans within a range of 12 meters (18m with a bit of firmware adjustment). Additionally, the generated 2D point cloud data can be used in mapping, localization and object/environment modeling!

The TF03 is the third generation product of TF series and is a ToF (Time of Flight) LiDAR sensor capable of measuring the distance to an object as close as 10 centimeters and as far as 180 meters!!! As with all LiDAR sensors, your effective detection distance will vary depending on lighting conditions and the reflectivity of your target object. What makes this sensor special is its size & environmental operating range. Measuring only 44x43x32mm, the TF03 allows you to integrate LiDAR into applications traditionally reserved for smaller sensors and in harsh environments thanks to its IP67 rating. IP67 aka "Dust tight & water resistant" and -25~60℃ operating temp. The TF03 is easy to power at only 5V and easy to talk to using a 3.3V UART at 115200 baud.

The TFMini Plus is a ToF (Time of Flight) LiDAR sensor capable of measuring the distance to an object as close as 10 centimeters (+/- 5cm up to 6m) and as far as 12 meters (+/-1% starting at 6m)! As with all LiDAR sensors, your effective detection distance will vary depending on lighting conditions and the reflectivity of your target object, but what makes this sensor special is its size. Measuring only 35x18.5x21mm, the TFMini Plus allows you to integrate LiDAR into applications traditionally reserved for smaller sensors.

The SparkFun Proximity Sensor Breakout is a simple IR presence and ambient light sensor utilizing the VCNL4040. This type of sensor is often seen in automatic towel and soap dispensers or automatic faucets. With the ability to detect objects qualitatively up to 20cm away, you will be able to detect if something is there and if it is closer or further away since the last reading. Utilizing our handy Qwiic system, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard.

You may be familiar with the classic HC-SR04 distance sensor, it is great for providing non-contact distance readings from 2cm to 400cm. This board improves on the classic by adding a Qwiic connector to it, so now you can communicate over I2C. If you prefer to bypass the Qwiic connector and I2 you can also access the Trigger and Echo pins which are broken out on the edge of the board.

The RPLIDAR A3M1 is the next generation of 360 degree 2D LIDARs. Each RPLIDAR A3 can take up to 16000 samples of laser ranging per second thanks to its high rotation speed. The on-board system can perform 2D 360° scans within a range of 25 meters in enhanced mode and 20 meters in outdoor mode. Additionally, the generated 2D point cloud data can be used in mapping, localization, and object/environment modeling!

The TFMini is a ToF (Time of Flight) LiDAR sensor capable of measuring the distance to an object as close as 30 centimeters and as far as 12 meters! As with all LiDAR sensors, your effective detection distance will vary depending on lighting conditions and the reflectivity of your target object, but what makes this sensor special is its size. Measuring only 42x15x16mm, the TFMini allows you to integrate LiDAR into applications traditionally reserved for smaller sensors such as the SHARP GP-series infrared rangefinders. Because this sensor is now I2C connecting multiple sensors is now possible. Over 100 sensors can be connected but note that each sensor will require approximately 800mA so size your power supply accordingly.
