Sparkfun

SparkfunWe are one of the first Authorised Sparkfun Distributor in the UK. As SparkFun UK distributors we stock a huge range of SparkFun items – boards; modules; individual components; kits; and of course development boards including the Arduino, the Netduino and the SparkFun Redboard. Simply choose your desired development platform and let your imagination run wild!

Do you need advice on how to use a SparkFun product? Give us a call or email us and we will spend time with you on the phone to check what best suits your needs.

Our catalog is syncronized every day with the SparkFun website data, if there's a new product in the SparkFun website it will automatically be added to our store.

As SparkFun has a huge catalog we are not able to keep everything in stock. On each SparkFun item that's not in stock, there's a message saying when our next order with them will be placed and, if you can wait, just place an order and it will be included in our next order from the USA.

We are currently ordering from SparkFun every 3 weeks however this time frame can be shortened if we have more orders for SparkFun products; the more you order, the less time you may need to wait for your items.

This buzzer is an add-on for your RedBot that gives your robot the ability to make awesome beep-boop noises or alerts when something interesting (or terrible) happens. The buzzer works by making use of two I/O pins on a controller board to create different noises based on the different frequency of I/O toggling. If you are using this buzzer on a RedBot, simply plug it in to one of the many 3-pin I/O ports and get your robot to make some noise.

This is a 3 wire slip ring, a remarkably simple electromechanical assembly that allows for electronic signals and power to be passed through its rotating innards. Commonly, you'd find slip rings in wind turbines, radar antennae, or anything else that requires continuous 360° rotation while maintaining an electrical connection. This particular slip ring provides you with a compact body with precious metal alloy fiber brush to silver plated ring contacts inside. We like using these slip rings to specifically transfer power in our spinning projects because regardless of the wires position in its rotation the power remains consistent!

This is a 6 wire slip ring, a remarkably simple electromechanical assembly that allows electronic signals to be passed through its rotating innards. Commonly, you'd find slip rings in wind turbines, radar antennae, or anything else that requires continuous 360° rotation while maintaining an electrical connection. This particular slip ring provides you with a compact body with gold-on-gold alloy fiber brush to plated ring contacts inside.

This is a 12 wire slip ring, a remarkably simple electromechanical assembly that allows electronic signals to be passed through its rotating innards. Commonly, you'd find slip rings in wind turbines, radar antennae, or anything else that requires continuous 360° rotation while maintaining an electrical connection. This particular slip ring provides you with a compact body with gold-on-gold alloy fiber brush to plated ring contacts inside.

This vacuum pump really sucks! This pump operates at 12V and has enough suction for most small projects. We even used one to make our very own universal gripper using coffee grounds, balloon and some other parts.

Do you have some liquids that you need to move? This fluid pump will move 350 gallons per hour! The SEAFLO mini water pump has a heavy duty 12V, 1.5Amp motor and a tough thermoplastic body. It's totally submersible and water-cooled (but it won't burn out if run dry). Use this pump to make a fountain or waterfall, even water your plants!

Have you ever wanted to control the flow of a liquid using your computer or microcontroller, but didn't know how? Well, here's how: The 12V solenoid controlled fluid valve. Simply connect a fluid source to the 3/4" threaded inlet and it will interrupt the flow until 12V is applied to the fast-on connectors on the solenoid.

Do you need to precisely dispense amounts of liquid for your preferred beverage? If so this could be the pump for you. This is the Bartendro Dispenser from Party Robotics, an ingeniously designed peristaltic pump and controller that can be used to dispense liquids with milliliter accuracy and can be used in a stand alone system or with a router and other pumps for a more complex liquid dispensing system. This peristaltic pump works through positive displacement, two rollers are attached to a single motor that spins around a Norprene® tube pinching it closed to force your beverage liquid to be pumped through. With this method you won't need to worry about your liquid flowing through any moving parts, it will bypass the need for flow meters, and you will be able to meter the amounts of beverage liquid independent of viscosity and density.
