SparkfunWe are one of the first Authorised Sparkfun Distributor in the UK. As SparkFun UK distributors we stock a huge range of SparkFun items – boards; modules; individual components; kits; and of course development boards including the Arduino, the Netduino and the SparkFun Redboard. Simply choose your desired development platform and let your imagination run wild!

Do you need advice on how to use a SparkFun product? Give us a call or email us and we will spend time with you on the phone to check what best suits your needs.

Our catalog is syncronized every day with the SparkFun website data, if there's a new product in the SparkFun website it will automatically be added to our store.

As SparkFun has a huge catalog we are not able to keep everything in stock. On each SparkFun item that's not in stock, there's a message saying when our next order with them will be placed and, if you can wait, just place an order and it will be included in our next order from the USA.

We are currently ordering from SparkFun every 3 weeks however this time frame can be shortened if we have more orders for SparkFun products; the more you order, the less time you may need to wait for your items.

A vibration motor! This itty-bitty, shaftless vibratory motor is perfect for non-audible indicators. Use in any number of applications to indicate to the wearer when a status has changed. All moving parts are protected within the housing. With a 2-3.6V operating range, these units shake crazily at 3V. Once anchored to a PCB or within a pocket, the unit vibrates softly but noticeably. This high quality unit comes with a 3M adhesive backing and reinforced connection wires.

Solenoids are a great way to induce linear motion for pushing, pulling or controlling switches and levers. According to the datasheet this solenoid is rated for 36V but they work like a charm at 12V. We've been controlling them with the Arduino Power Driver Shield, there's even some example code below. With a throw of 10mm these solenoids are great for all kinds of motion applications such as actuating door latches, automating percussion instruments or just poking people.

These motorized sliders are very cool. Each is essentially a standard slide pot which is belt-driven by a small motor. The slide contains two separate 10k linear taper potentiometers so that you can use one as servo-feedback in order to read the position of the slider and use the other to control whatever your target is. There is also a touch sense line which is electrically connected directly to the metal slider tab so that you can interface the slider with capacitive touch circuitry.

Solenoids are a great way to induce linear motion for pushing, pulling or controlling switches and levers. This smaller solenoid is designed to work directly with 5V which makes it a great match for embedded projects. It has a throw of about 4.5mm and 2 M2 mounting holes on the body.

Does controlling door and cabinet access with the power of Electromagnetism interest you? Excellent! In effect, this latch / lock solenoid is an electronic lock. When powered with 12VDC source, the latch is pulled in, allowing movement. Without power, the latch is extended, blocking movement and your secret drawer is safe and secure.
