Sparkfun

SparkfunWe are one of the first Authorised Sparkfun Distributor in the UK. As SparkFun UK distributors we stock a huge range of SparkFun items – boards; modules; individual components; kits; and of course development boards including the Arduino, the Netduino and the SparkFun Redboard. Simply choose your desired development platform and let your imagination run wild!

Do you need advice on how to use a SparkFun product? Give us a call or email us and we will spend time with you on the phone to check what best suits your needs.

Our catalog is syncronized every day with the SparkFun website data, if there's a new product in the SparkFun website it will automatically be added to our store.

As SparkFun has a huge catalog we are not able to keep everything in stock. On each SparkFun item that's not in stock, there's a message saying when our next order with them will be placed and, if you can wait, just place an order and it will be included in our next order from the USA.

We are currently ordering from SparkFun every 3 weeks however this time frame can be shortened if we have more orders for SparkFun products; the more you order, the less time you may need to wait for your items.

Sometimes when you have too many choices, it's hard to make a good decision. In fact, there are times when you just want a bag of LEDs, just one of each, that's all you want. Well too bad, you are getting two of each! The LED Rainbow Pack contains two diffused 5mm PTH LEDs of each color of the rainbow, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. This is a great way to sample each one and decide what you really need or just to add a whole bunch of color to your next project.

This is the FadeCandy from Adafruit, a USB controlled LED driver with on-board dithering to help illuminate your NeoPixel project. Even though the FadeCandy was designed to be used alongside of the NeoPixel Line the driver also works with most WS2811/12 LEDs. This little board has been designed to help both beginners and the advanced LED techie!
  5. Exc. VAT: £19.58 Inc. VAT: £23.50
This is the 24 LED NeoPixel Ring from Adafruit, a small chainable 2.6" (66mm) outer diameter board equipped with 5050 WS2812 RGB LEDs. The WS2812s are each addressable as the driver chip is located inside the LED. Each NeoPixel Stick has ~18mA constant current drive so the color will be very consistent even if the voltage varies, and requires 5V.
  6. Exc. VAT: £9.75 Inc. VAT: £11.70
This is the 16 LED NeoPixel Ring from Adafruit, a small chainable 1.75" (44.5mm) outer diameter board equipped with 5050 WS2812 RGB LEDs. The WS2812s are each addressable as the driver chip is located inside the LED. Each NeoPixel Stick has ~18mA constant current drive so the color will be very consistent even if the voltage varies, and requires 5V.
  7. Exc. VAT: £32.42 Inc. VAT: £38.90
This is the NeoPixel NeoMatrix from Adafruit a large board with 64 WS2812 RGB LEDs arranged in an 8x8 matrix. Each LED is capable of drawing as much as 60mA (at peak brightness the matrix can draw just over 3.5 Amps at 5 Volts), this adds up so it is suggested to use a 5V 2A power supply. For most uses, you'll see about 1-2A of current per panel.
  8. Exc. VAT: £5.75 Inc. VAT: £6.90
This is the NeoPixel Stick from Adafruit, a small chainable board with eight 5050 WS2812 RGB LEDs. The WS2812s are each addressable as the driver chip is located inside the LED. Each NeoPixel Stick has ~18mA constant current drive so the color will be very consistent even if the voltage varies, and requires 5V.

There are more and more hobbyists taking advantage of surface mount technology these days. With affordable tools like hot air and hotplate reflow ovens, electronics enthusiasts are shrinking their projects down to new levels of portability. Unfortunately, It's not always easy to get your hands on small amounts of SMD parts so here's a part that every project could use more of: tiny little LEDs.
