Sparkfun

SparkfunWe are one of the first Authorised Sparkfun Distributor in the UK. As SparkFun UK distributors we stock a huge range of SparkFun items – boards; modules; individual components; kits; and of course development boards including the Arduino, the Netduino and the SparkFun Redboard. Simply choose your desired development platform and let your imagination run wild!

Do you need advice on how to use a SparkFun product? Give us a call or email us and we will spend time with you on the phone to check what best suits your needs.

Our catalog is syncronized every day with the SparkFun website data, if there's a new product in the SparkFun website it will automatically be added to our store.

As SparkFun has a huge catalog we are not able to keep everything in stock. On each SparkFun item that's not in stock, there's a message saying when our next order with them will be placed and, if you can wait, just place an order and it will be included in our next order from the USA.

We are currently ordering from SparkFun every 3 weeks however this time frame can be shortened if we have more orders for SparkFun products; the more you order, the less time you may need to wait for your items.

This version of the APA102 (or “DotStar”) is an astoundingly tiny, 8-pin, 2020-sized (2x2mm) SMD LED. With an integrated control circuit embedded, the APA102-2020 is incredibly bright and colorful. If you look really closely, you can see the tiny gold chip hidden in there, along with minuscule gold wires connecting the chip to the LED. This miniaturized version of the APA102C LEDs found in our Lumenati line is perfect for applications needing a bit of color while not possessing a lot of real estate.

The Spectacle Light Board allows you to add some fairly complex lighting effects to your Spectacle projects in a streamlined manner. Each has connections for you to add addressable LEDs as well as an external power connector. Designed to make it easy to add relatively complex lighting effects to your Spectacle projects, the Spectacle Light Board integrates with the rest of the Spectacle ecosystem to allow you to control lighting effects with ease and comfort.

This is a Ding and Dent version of our Raspberry Pi B Block for the Intel® Edison. This block has headers pre-soldered on, which means we were not able to test the board at all due to the headers being attached. We cannot guarantee that this Edison Block even works, but we knew some of you out there would still love the opportunity to get your hands on it and experiment.

This is not your basic 7-segment display. The Dual 7-Segment Display features two digits with an RGB LED in every single segment! You will now have a small 7-segment LED in your project with a full-color display!

These are addressable 5-meter-long 5V RGB LED strips that come packed with 300 APA102Cs. APA102 LEDs are very similar to WS2812s with a few caveats: APA102s can be controlled with a standard SPI interface, and they have an extremely high PWM frequency. There is access to each APA102 LED, and each strip length can be easily modified. You will be able to control each LED RGB individually, giving you the ability to create cool lighting effects for your car or perhaps under-cabinet lighting in your kitchen!
  6. Exc. VAT: £14.42 Inc. VAT: £17.30
These are addressable 1-meter-long 5V RGB LED strips that come packed with 60 APA102Cs.

This isn't your typical LED bar graph; this is a behemoth! This RGB bar graph features an impressive 48 segments of high-brightness LEDs. This common anode bar graph is perfect for projects requiring display meters with higher accuracy for reading a power charge, volume peak or signal strength. It should be mentioned that this board does not have a very compact footprint, so be sure to prepare to use a bit of space.

The MyoWare LED Shield is designed to pair with the MyoWare Muscle Sensor. The blue 10-segment bar graph shows the magnitude of the measured signal. The more muscle activation measured, the higher up the board the lit LEDs will go. With this shield you will be provided with a visual representation of the signals provided by the MyoWare Muscle Sensor and an on-board lithium polymer (LiPo) power source.
  9. Exc. VAT: £17.17 Inc. VAT: £20.60
These are sealed, addressable 1-meter-long 5V white tri-color LED strips that come packed with 60 SK6812 5050 LEDs. Each of these strips is enclosed by a flexible silicon jacket with an IP65 waterproof rating to protect your precious LEDs. Unlike our other addressable LED strips, this version does not feature RGB LEDs. Instead, you will be able to change each LED to provide a unique warm white, cool white, or amber combination. You will be able to control each LED individually, which gives you the ability to create cool lighting effects for your car, fish tank, or perhaps under-cabinet lighting in your kitchen!

The SparkFun LED Array is a set of 56 red LEDs arranged in a nice 8x7 grid. This little board requires eight pins while the library supports any ATmega 168 and 328-based Arduino device. The SparkFun LED Array was developed to be used in conjunction with the BadgerStick as a fun and interactive way for people to learn about soldering and engage with SparkFun products at the multiple trade shows we appeared at. Now this LED array is available to everyone!
