Volks (http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/robofie/produ ... ducts.html), a japanese manufacturer that is famous for it's very detailled (and quite expensive) action figures and resin characters kits has announced the Robofie VS-1 kit

For approximately 1090 to 1400 EUROs (whitout shiping and taxes ) , once fully built (comes as a DIY kit), this small remote-controlled buddy (approx 40 cm high) will be able to walk, run, climb stairs and execute several movements.

When I was in Japan last year I visited the HQ of VStone and they have that robot on display in their front office.

I remember seeing it ages ago and I asked them about this. They advised me that it was a limited edition and didn't have good balance (hence the magnets).

I doubt you'll find one for sale new, but you could also ask around to see if anyone in Japan is willing to sell theirs.
