PLA is a very strong type of plastic with very low shrinkage factor and great layer bonding. This makes for very robust parts and strong prints. Due to its low shrinkage factor, there's practically no warping, especially on very large prints.

PLA is made from corn - a renewable resource - which makes it an eco friendly, bio degradable plastic. ( Biodegradable means it will be very resistant on every day use and when disposed of, it will ultimately break down at a landfill. )
