Dynamixel AX/MX bus Driver Board CDS55xx (Full Duplex to Half Duplex Converter)

The AX/MX bus CDS55xx Driver Board makes it possible to directly connect AX and MX Servos to Full Duplex MCUs such as Arduino, PIC and others.

The board converts a Full Duplex TTL Signal into Half Duplex Dynamixel bus Signal. It takes care of all the conversion, sending the MCU messages to the Servo bus and relaying the Servo response back to the MCU.

In addition, the board includes a Voltage regulator circuit to manage the power supply for your servos.

Using a USB to TTL Converter the board can also be used to connect the computer to the Dynamixel bus. Please see the "Documentation" section for Wiring Schematics.

  Please note that some Robotis Applications (Roboplus, Dynamixel Manager, ...) depend specifically on the FTDI chip in the USB2Dynamixel. Therefore if you must use Robotis Software we recommend using the USB2Dynamixel.
