Robobuilder Hexapod Spider Extension Kit
This extension kit is an add-on to Robobuilder 5710K and 5720T Kits in order
The Kit includes 2 extra servos (to build an 18 DoF Spider) and an extra Joint
In addition, a complete set of Motion Files is provided so you can start using
your Hexapod right after you assembly it.
Assembly and Programming Instructions:
- Hardware Assembly
For the Hardware Assembly you need to take the following steps:
Download the Spider Motion Files to the Controller
- You need to Re program the ID of the Servos included with this Kit to ID 16
and 17. Please follow the instructions for
Reprogramming wCk Servo ID to complete this procedure.
- Once the Servo IDs are programmed, follow the
- Download the Motion File Pack:

- Connect the RBC Controller to your computer
Open the Robobuilder
Download Tool and download all of the MTN files (included in the ZIP files above) to the controller.

PDF file with instructions that accompany this tool)
- Turn on the Robot and Press and Hold the PF2 button for 3 seconds until
the PF2 LED turns Orange. This will put your Robobuilder in Custom Platform
mode to operate as Hexapod (please see the Robobuilder Manual, page
72 for more information about different Platform settings).
The Hexapod is now Ready to Run. To operate the Hexapod, press Buttons 0-9 on
your Remote Control.

! Important Note: By default we ship the kit with Black Servos. If you have a 5720T and
prefer Transparent servos, please add a Comment about this when placing your
