The Bioloid Beginner Robotic Kit is similar to the Bioloid Advanced Kit except that it includes a smaller number of parts. It is the best affordable introduction kit on the market to advanced robotics.

The Bioloid Beginner Kit includes a CM-5 mcu (Atmel ATMega128), 4 AX-12+ serially controlled servos, 1 AX-S1 Sensor module, Rechargeable battery pack (9.6V), 2 Programming Utilities and an assortment of frames, nuts & bolts.
The servos are daisy-chained and serially controlled providing position, current and heat feedbacks to the host controller.

AX-S1 sensor module (Also serially controlled):
- 3 IR refection sensors
- IrDA receiver

- piezo-electric sounds

AX-12+ actuator module (Serially controlled, Specs at 10V):

This kit is not intended to be used by unattended small children because the servos are very powerful.
