This is RoboSavvy's blog about the design and
construction of a 1m tall Humanoid Robot featuring
THOR and THOR-OP and the DARPA DRC Challenge
DARPA has announced their Robot Challenge aiming to have
Humanoid Robots replacing humans operating machines and
vehicles in a disaster situation.
THOR and THOR-OP have already been announced as
participating projects that will use the new Dynamixel
Serial Protocol for Robobuilder RQ-HUNO
Robobuilder has made available the information about the
Serial Protocol for it's newest Robot (RQ-HUNO).
Like to it's predecessors, the Serial protocol enables
full Query and Control of the Robot either via Bluetooth
or Wired connection to the PC or another MCU.

(TTL) device before. It is close to release and it has
received important firmware features that make it easier
to implement the DARwIn-OP framework without having the
New Robotis CM-900 Open Source Controller
The CM-900 is the latest Robotis controller, currently
under development. It has an open source design and
users can get involved in its development.
Dynamixel Pro: new Robotis Professional Line
The new Dynamixel Pro series is designed for Industrial
and demanding Applications with torques up to
400kgf.cm. It's been announced recently and will be
available in early 2013.
