It was great chatting to all of you guys at the robo-one last Saturday and seeing your bipeds. Planning to get one some time soon and hopefully I will be able to join in the fun next time around.
I have some videos from the event which I will upload on youtube and make available soon.
Thanks for your time and the valuable information!

It's a shame that noone can tell from that photo that our Bioloids (the humanoid on the right and the quadruped on the left) are actually dynamically balancing there.
*smug grin*
Andandand we achieved something minor last night too, but more about that in the imminent post to the Bioloid forum...

It was a fun day. The robots had advanced noticeably since the last time we all met. Particularly in the stair climb in which 3 robots competed (only one competed at the last meet). Two out of the three successfully completed the stair climb. (I think there was only one stair climbing robot in the 2008 Robogames)
The Bioloids from StuartL and Random Matt were absolutely fascinating with their Inverse Kinematics. Once refined, their work really will push hobby robotics onto the next level. Can't wait.
Here is a quick edit of a few bits of the video footage I took:
As is often pointed out on RobotDreams.com - the fun of these types of meets are not the formal events - but what happens behind the scenes. This was absolutely true at this event, the adhoc robot rumbles were great fun and it was great to spend so much time chatting and sharing ideas with so many people who have similar interests in Robots.
our fellow savvy roboteers showing off some cool advanced stuff with their robots . I was particularly impressed with the running and the stair climbing competition.
Maybe we could get together a Robosavvy sponsored team to participate in larger events and show the world what our community is proudly capable of doing.

It sounds good.
But
I think we have to wait some more time before the bots are in better shape and are a bit more finished. At the moment the only event we would be any good at would be the stair walking. But I think by the end of the summer we could do with a international event.
