Have you found any reference for use of opencv with that A10 cpu platform ?
i found this thread that says there may not be hardware floating point on the A10

Just bought (and received) the Mini X - came in just about - very impressive - £51 including postage !
The box in white is an Omnima EmbWifi board for comparison - the miniX is shorter and 1/2 width. On the left is a Microsoft webcam Vx100 mounted on a servo (bluetack) and of course a robobuilder on the right

Hi l3v3rz
Would you mind checking speed of simple face detection?
If you installed ubuntu with X11 so you should be able to compile all the opencv with no problem. there may even be an apt-get version of opencv for A8.
Here at Miniand we have been hard at work getting Linux images working on the MK802, and we have just successfully built Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu and Lubuntu images.
The current version of the images support Wifi and OpenGL, and the lightweight versions Lubuntu and Xubuntu run quite well.
It is sold under 2 brands: MK802, Zero Devices Z802. on aliexpress is runs for under 70USD . Bill of materials is estimated at 20$ so we should expect the prices to go down.
This seems like the perfect robotics companion especially if someone manages to get the Mali400 to do some useful floating point co-processing.
But we are yet to see what the opencv processing speed capabilities are.
