The video clip has some pretty amazing artwork.. If anyone finds these robots' 3D models, please post links or upload to this forum.

According to the official Japanese press release, and the presentations that were made during the ROBO-ONE 9 competition here in March, the tentative target date is 10/10/2010, but there are lots of disclaimers that state that the exact timing is dependent on a number of factors outside of the control of the ROBO-ONE committee.

Most of the presentations scheduled for the ROBO-ONE Technical Conference in Kawasaki early next month are centered around the ROBO-ONE in The Space project.

The two robots featured in the promotional video are Sugiura-san's Dynamizer and Morinaga-san's Metallic Fighter.

The video was done by Sunrise, a Japanese animation company that's also one of the ROBO-ONE corporate sponsors. I suspect that the animation was done using conventional techniques rather than using 3D model data.

Of course, the 3D models for the two robots aren't available online, and the actual robots to be used in the space competition haven't been designed yet.
