Is there a way to determine (other than having a monitor plugged in) when the Roboard has successfully shutdown Windows and it is safe to turn off power to the computer. I have a switch that when pressed allows me to initiate windows shut down proceedures, but do not know how to determine when it is complete and it is ok to remove power.

If this may help the only way I know that roboard is off, is that the LED on my wifi usb dongle switches off!

I have done quite a bit of searching this morning regarding this issue. I know my board is ready to turn off 20 seconds after I start a shutdown, but I have no indicator. I was hoping to find a method to execute code to provide an output as the very last aspect of a shutdown sequence, but so far I have not had any luck finding any detailed information on what gets executed on shutdown (such as the call to display the "now safe to turn off your computer" graphic).

Another option would be to catch windows before it loads and output if a flag is set (in file or by some other non-volatile means), and turn off before it loads, but this would require more time to boot to that point on a shutdown / reboot from windows.

Currently RoBoard hardware does not support ACPI ,so there is no way to give you information when shutdown successfully.

Hi,
we are studying to add a feature in RB-100 BIOS for indicating shutdown status by a GPIO pin. This will need some time to test, and, if getting success, we will release the updated BIOS soonly:)

That's perfect! I hope you will announce the bios update on this forum. Thank you very much. This will be perfect for the pololu pushbutton switch!

I am not sure if this feature exists but a WAKE on GPIO pin would be helpful as well.
