Looks like a nice kit, will it be autonomous? Good luck at Birmingham :)

Hi Chris,
yeah the robot is autonomous, i just press a button and it does all the hard work itself. I have just fitted a proximity sensor so that if it picks up anything within 30cm of its front it goes full power into them :D
Hope to see you in Birmingham

Hope it can stop quickly when it gets to the edge of the sumo ring or we will be playing robot catch again ... the most popular and challenging of all robot events

I will almost certainly go, but probably as a spectator if my RN doesn't get well soon.

How's your new remote fairing? Your battery monitor is perfect! :D Please post any more of your mods.

Looks like this years event is going to be bigger than ever 8)

I think it will be a question of do or die. I've come to the conclusion with this kit that for a really competitive robot it will have to be a home built one. I was thinking of doing a 12v tracked one.

Well, I hope you will get him up and running in time. If you can get him walking you should win something. :)

Your welcome to the monitor. The new remote is excellent. Messing about with the program.

I suspect this year will be more competitive than ever........?
I could always invent an event and be the only one to take part.....

NovaOne if you get your bot to walk over the stairs again then you will probably win on event

hopefully Have my new bot in full working order. Have to spend a lot more time to get it to be able to walk up the stairs but will give it a go.

Hi sbsshadow,

You would find it really interesting if you could make it to the robot event on the 28th June in Birmingham. I have even get an I-Sobot and a RN1 that you are more than welcome to have a go with and you will find alot of experienced Roboteers for anwsers.
This year I am entering I-Sobot into the mini sumo competition and the running race.
You should find it interesting if you look through the other event posts.

The I-Sobot is a very good biped for the money. However it is more of a toy than a serious robotics project. It is ideal for starting out just to give a feel of things.
Saying that I had my RN1 before my I-Sobot (Peewee) , he is good fun and 8)
