Things they don't tell you about Roombas...

Having just bought a Roomba (yes, I know) there's a few things they don't tell you...

The carpet builds up disturbing snail trails overnight
The simple algorithms are surprisingly effective, even for complicated floors
The simple algorithms are not perfect meaning that you do still have to hoover periodically
You really don't want to leave bits of paper, wires, screws etc on the floor
The human brain is determined to give the Roomba personality despite the knowledge that it's a very simple microcontroller
I have too many projects to consider building a new (and smarter) brain for it
A smarter brain for the Bioloid may lend itself nicely to the Roomba
