Hitec Items: Shipping

• We ship Hitec items from within Europe. Shipping costs are calculated based on destination.
• We currently can only ship Hitec items to UK and Ireland customers.

Worldwide Shipping from Japan

• Items from the following manufacturers are shipped from Japan to any destination worldwide: Kondo, ABCHobby, ETA
• Shipping costs are calculated based on destination and weight of the package.
• We ship by EMS courier directly from Japan.
• Packages usually arrive within 5 business days.
• European customers will have to pay VAT at their country's rate. Payment will be to the local courier to clear items from customs.

Import TAX

• Items sent from Japan carry your RoboSavvy invoice. You are technically the importer of these items. There are no import taxes for (Hitec) items shipped within EU countries.
• Europe - VAT rates vary in Europe from 15% to 25% of the value of imported goods including the cost of shipping. (UK rate is 17.5%). No other taxes are applicable in Europe for the KHR-1 kit. See this link for the EC web site showing the 0% duty rate applicable for items of type "Other construction sets and constructional toys" imported from Japan. (TARIC code 9503300000).
• USA - No import duty is applicable for electronics coming from Japan which is under the free-trade agreement.
• Other countries - Many countries apply import duties, customs and VAT to imported goods. Please check what if any rates apply for imported educational electronic kits from Japan to your country.
